In Pain and Rehabilitation Medicine

Our clinic conducts specialized team-based assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, complex pain and fatigue, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

We have a specialized outpatient unit and maintain close collaboration with other services relevant to the patient's care and rehabilitation, as well as an assessment unit linked to insurance medicine and traffic medicine.

Job Description

We are looking for a specialist in rehabilitation medicine and/or pain relief. Other specialists with a strong interest in pain and rehabilitation are also encouraged to apply. The work at the clinic involves team-based (high) specialized care of patients within our assignments and aims to optimize the conditions for returning to an active life from the patient's perspective and active participation. As a specialist physician, you will focus on one or a couple of the clinic's assignments primarily within pain, departmental responsibility, spasticity, SCS, and AFU.

Work Group

You will work in a team with other professionals and will be part of a group with experienced specialists in rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, general medicine, geriatrics, anesthesia, neurology, and physicians in training.

About You

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in rehabilitation medicine or another relevant specialty with a strong interest in pain and rehabilitation. Approved specialist degree and Swedish license are required. Additional specialty in pain relief is an advantage. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 are required as you will be in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other services.

Previous experience in rehabilitation medicine is an advantage. Interest in business development is important. Experience working with patients with complex comorbidities and composite problems is also desirable. Familiarity with collaborating in teams with other professional groups and good knowledge of the bio-psycho-social approach and insurance medicine is also appreciated.

Since you will be in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other services, it is a requirement that you have very good skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We work in the Cosmic journal system.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You take responsibility for what you do, plan, organize/prioritize work effectively, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are attentive and clear in your communication. Good collaboration skills are a prerequisite as assessments often occur in consultation with other colleagues and professional groups. In contact with employees and patients, you demonstrate empathetic ability and professional judgment. You have the ability to solve complex problems, find new approaches to work-related issues, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are interested in working with longer patient processes and other stakeholders. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important.
